  • Can you hear that?
  • Maybe you can, maybe you can't.
  • My son's crying.
  • Thanks, Premier League, for ending the season.
  • Yeeeew!
  • Done it again with your 38th game of the season.
  • Hello everybody, welcome back to the James Lawrence Alcott channel.
  • Had to do this, it's going to be a little cheeky, impromptu video, because if there's one thing I've done brilliantly this year, it's predict things.
  • Or not get in the way of results.
  • God loves a try, that's the crucial thing.
  • And Alcott loves to try.
  • So, I thought we'd have a little talk about the final day.
  • I also wanted to just say thank you guys.
  • We're obviously at the end of the season.
  • Massive thank you for watching the channel, engaging with the channel, getting involved in the comments, and being a part of this community.
  • And I'm going to do a live stream about an hour after the game's finished.
  • Let it settle a touch, and then we'll have a nice long conversation about who's gone down and who's gone to those European places.
  • And just, you know, you guys can ask questions and we can have a chat.
  • A final chat on the final day.
  • See what I did there?
  • If you are new to the channel and you don't want to miss out on that, hit the notification bell and subscribe to the channel.
  • That would be wonderful.
  • And what I'm going to do is I'm going to go through my predictions for the final day.
  • What could go wrong?
  • What could go wrong?
  • Now, in terms of the Premier League table, there's two key areas.
  • Now, the top five is a bit kind of boring there.
  • I guess Newcastle could finish third.
  • That's one interesting element of it.
  • But apart from that, not much going on.
  • And it's the spacing so much that actually the games that are being shown, none of the top five are being shown on the final day.
  • Where it gets interesting, as most of you guys will know because you're football fans,
  • Is who's going to get that Conference League spot.
  • And I like this Conference League because you get to have a nice, long, juicy European tour if you're a Premier League club because, really, there's no excuse for you not to get to at least the semifinals.
  • Leicester, West Ham.
  • So, the permutations, as Jim White would say, the permutations would drive you crazy.
  • And he's right.
  • Because Aston Villa, Tottenham and Brentford could all pinch the final spot.
  • Oh, Tottenham as well, sorry.
  • That's what I've just said.
  • Anyway, as I said, the permutations will drive you crazy.
  • I'm going to put forward my predictions.
  • So, I think...
  • So, first of all, in terms of those games, it's very interesting here.
  • And get your predictions down below because it would be interesting.
  • If you can get them all bang on, that would be great.
  • And then you'll be buzzing and then you'll be frustrated because you didn't put a bet on.
  • But, you know, you must gamble responsibly.
  • Right, Villa versus Brighton.
  • This will be interesting.
  • I think...
  • And obviously, we're going to talk about the relegation zone as well because those are the two key areas in this final day.
  • Villa against Brighton.
  • Tottenham are taking on Leeds, which is a double whammy, of course, because they're down the bottom.
  • And Brentford are taking on Man City.
  • Now, what's interesting is...
  • Because I think most people would look at the table and they go, Brentford, I just can't see it happening.
  • But Spurs have been terrible.
  • Villa are playing Brighton.
  • And Brentford have got Man City.
  • And again, no one would give them a chance against Man City.
  • But there's an absolute chance that they could do this.
  • Absolute chance that Brentford could go and do it because Brentford are home, firstly.
  • Brentford are fantastic at home.
  • The Brentford fans, I know for a fact, will be so up for this.
  • You know, to take the opportunity to get into the European places, full stop.
  • But to be able to do it at home against the champions is just unbelievable.
  • What an opportunity for them.
  • They played brilliantly against Tottenham last week.
  • Of course, don't have Ivan Toni.
  • And that is a big point when it comes to that game against Man City because the game that they won, and my mate gave me this stat, and I was like, hmm, yeah, that's kind of a misleading stat.
  • He said they're the only team to have not been beaten by Man City this season.
  • They've only played them once.
  • They did beat them.
  • But the reason they beat them was they were fantastic on the break.
  • And Ivan Toni was like a big part of that in terms of getting the team up the pitch.
  • That said, Man City will rotate.
  • Pep Guardiola said that the team will be decided based on training the day before.
  • Bollocks.
  • I mean, apart from the injury, I think he completely knows he's starting 11. And if he's smart, the only thing he could be nervous about is some sort of rust for some of the players.
  • But really, it's 20-minute cameos for the players that you care about, especially if you're maybe losing the game.
  • But otherwise, you're going to play the guys that will not be starting in that final game.
  • Now, is that a good team?
  • Yes.
  • But they're not going to really be up for it as much as they normally would do.
  • And Brentford have got a chance there, especially at home.
  • And the front three sort of interchanging looked really good.
  • So Brentford have got a real shout.
  • They've got a real shout.
  • Tottenham against Leeds is very interesting.
  • Kane, of course, quite possibly his last game.
  • And the energy at that stadium is going to be very interesting because what's interesting when you get to the relegation zone is you've got Everton, Bournemouth.
  • So Everton, Leeds and Leicester are all at home and beautifully alphabetical for the final day as well.
  • All at home.
  • And you would all expect them to have a proper good chance of winning those games.
  • And to a point, I think they're all OK with it, weirdly, going to the final day, because I think they all back themselves to win at home or it feels like you're giving themselves the best chance.
  • I definitely think Leicester have done that.
  • In that game against Newcastle, they literally parked the bus.
  • It was mad.
  • But I think he was going, look, West Ham have got a European final.
  • They won't want to risk their key players.
  • Raucous atmosphere.
  • Clappers aplenty at the King Power.
  • We can go and win that game at home.
  • And I get that.
  • I think they've got a real, real chance of winning their game.
  • Leeds, I think the energy could be a bit odd.
  • Spurs have been utter rubbish recently.
  • Everton got massive problems in terms of injuries.
  • Looks like they could well play a back three and then play Garner as a right wing back because Paterson's out, Coleman's out.
  • I mean, I guess you could put a Wobbe out there if you wanted to, but I don't think they will.
  • Bamford's out for Leeds.
  • Nonto, I would expect to come in.
  • He came on for him in the West Ham game.
  • Losing Bamford's a real shame.
  • Rodrigo probably would go through the middle, I'd imagine.
  • They haven't really got any other options.
  • Shame they don't have Gelfart, to be honest.
  • Spurs in terrible form, as I've said.
  • But I can't get away from...
  • Kane will score.
  • Kane will score in his last game.
  • He just will.
  • And I think the energy will be so tense there and there'll be a moment where they get a chance and I can just see Kane just being utterly clinical.
  • So I do think Leeds will concede.
  • I think they've conceded two goals in every game they've played under Allardyce.
  • Bournemouth, obviously on the bench, but playing with a freedom, with a zest, with a je ne sais quoi, you know?
  • Other French words.
  • So really interesting stuff here, guys.
  • As I said, get your predictions in the comments below and make sure you've subscribed and make sure you hit the notification bell so you know when I go live and we can really break this mother down.
  • OK?
  • Time for predictions.
  • And who will go up, who will go down, or who will, you know, get your own place.
  • So, a final look at the table, actually, when it comes to the guys down the bottom.
  • Leeds.
  • Goal difference is obviously important with these things.
  • Nine goal swing up against Leicester.
  • I read something saying there's a 3% chance of Leeds supposedly being able to stay up.
  • But, you know, it could easily happen, right?
  • If these two lose, which they have done several times this season, then who knows, you know?
  • That said, I just don't see the goals and I don't see the structure to see Leeds get out of this.
  • You can't see it, can you?
  • There you go.
  • I just can't see it.
  • I think Leeds will lose.
  • 2-1 or 2-0. I'm going to go with 2-1. I think Leeds will find a goal, sneak a goal.
  • But they will lose and therefore they will go down.
  • Disaster.
  • Absolute disaster for Leeds.
  • Big clubs going down.
  • Championships stacked, and I've said it a million times.
  • Now Leicester and Everton.
  • We'll come back to that.
  • Let's go back to the European places.
  • European places.
  • I think, I think Brentford.
  • Well, I've said Spurs are going to get a win.
  • So Spurs will be on 60 points.
  • So that kind of takes Brentford out of the equation.
  • But I do think Brentford will get a draw.
  • You heard it here first.
  • Brentford to get a 1-1 draw.
  • Maybe even a 2-2.
  • Could be a classic.
  • But Man City, of course, have so much quality that, you know, it would be a shock if they did, you know, if they lose any games of football.
  • But I have got a funny feeling.
  • I would not be surprised if Brentford win that one.
  • Even without Ivan Toni.
  • So, yeah.
  • Spurs win their game.
  • They get to 60 points.
  • I just realised what's about to happen.
  • Villa fans are going to get annoyed.
  • You get annoyed either way, right?
  • Because, okay, so if I say Villa won't do it, then you're all like, meh, meh, meh, right?
  • But if you say, if I say Villa, like, if I say Villa don't do it.
  • Sorry, my computer just went funny.
  • If I say Villa don't do it, you get angry at me for that.
  • But if I say Villa do it, you're going to say I've jinxed you.
  • Okay?
  • But Villa are in this position, right?
  • And I did a video saying they were good.
  • So the jinx is gone.
  • Okay?
  • The jinx is gone.
  • Don't worry about it.
  • I think, I think you're going to beat Brighton.
  • I think you're going to win 2-1. And I think you will get that seventh spot.
  • That is what I believe.
  • I think you'll have enough there.
  • I think Brighton will chill and they will rotate because you can't catch them and they can't go any higher up in the league as well.
  • And it's at home for Villa as well, which is crucial, I think, in this.
  • I think it's going to be an amazing atmosphere with the Villa fans.
  • And Villa have been fantastic at home this season.
  • So I think Villa will get the job done and they will win 2-1.
  • So Villa will get that Conference League spot.
  • Now down to the bottom.
  • I think, oh, I think Leicester will win 2-0.
  • Because there'll be such a change from that West Ham team.
  • I think they'll make loads of changes.
  • I think they'll be wary.
  • I think Leicester will be so up for it.
  • I think Leicester have quality as well.
  • Defensively, pretty poor.
  • I know.
  • And they've got a lot of, I think, Ian Thatcher, Dewsbury Hall, Ndidi, Johnny Evans, all could be out or aren't in the best of shape.
  • Madison didn't play in the last game.
  • I would imagine he would come back in and they would look to really get it going there.
  • I think they'll win it.
  • I think they'll win 2-0,
  • Which is crazy, really, because Leicester generally can see goals.
  • But I just think they'll go and do it.
  • But I think Everton, oh, God.
  • So I've got two in my head.
  • I've got one all or I've got a 1-0. Everton have those problems that I spoke about earlier.
  • But again, at Goodison Park, and even though, so the reason I say one all,
  • I don't see Everton scoring more than one goal.
  • Let's put it that way.
  • I just don't.
  • And I think the good thing about Keane, Tarkovsky, Mina, is as you saw last week, set pieces, you're going to be strong there.
  • But this is a bit, you know, there's a sizable Bournemouth side.
  • That said, I did get a great comment where someone explained that actually Bournemouth have been quite bad from set pieces this year.
  • So who knows, right?
  • But my prediction, locking it in, is that Everton will win 1-0. I think they will get the win.
  • You know, set piece, back post, Tarkovsky wins it.
  • It goes to someone else and someone knocks it in.
  • 1-0, defending for their lives.
  • If it was to be a draw, and that's how tight it is, Leicester would stay up on goal difference.
  • Woo!
  • And here, Jim White, you've done it again because the permutations don't drive you crazy!
  • Of that we're sure.
  • But those are my predictions.
  • Everton to stay up, pinching a win, although I'm like 54% 1-0. What is it?
  • 46% 1-0.
  • Leicester to win, they will finish on 34 points and
  • Leeds to go down.
  • Villa to get that final spot.
  • Those are my predictions.
