  • Hi guys, today I have this look for you.
  • It's an Effie look.
  • It's pretty simple and pretty easy and it's a good party look for those of you who like to wear darker makeup like I do because obviously you don't get to wear this kind of makeup every day.
  • So this is the look and I hope you all enjoy it.
  • I know I've been gone for a while, I'm sorry about that.
  • It's been kind of busy and I hope to do sort of an update video soon so that I can explain to you all why I've been gone and all that kind of jazz.
  • So I hope your Foundation keeps it light and light in colour and light in sort of coverage because Effie doesn't wear a lot of foundation at all, maybe even none.
  • So it would be a good idea for you to use as light a coverage as you're comfortable with.
  • You know you can use a full coverage foundation if you want, that would work fine with this look.
  • I'm just staying true to Effie.
  • I myself have got none on.
  • I've got a little bit of concealer in places that I need it but I haven't got any on.
  • Also because I don't have a very light colour foundation and I don't want to tan myself up at all for this look because she is quite pale.
  • What I am going to do however is I'm going to use the Flexion 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer just under my eyes.
  • I'm going to use the lightest one and This is the kind of thing that I do every day.
  • I make that shape and then I pat into the skin.
  • Try not to rub at all.
  • It's quite difficult if you've got a lot of product there.
  • This look is all about the eyes.
  • There are two ways of doing the Effie look and I'm going to be doing the one that is slightly less done on YouTube I think.
  • A lot of people will apply black all over the lid.
  • That's absolutely fine.
  • That is quite Effie-ish makeup.
  • I'm just going to do the sort of line all the way around because that is also something that she does in the series.
  • A pencil or liner is going to be really important for this and a gel is really nice because it's blendable.
  • I'm going to start on the inner corner of the eye with my Avon Super Shock.
  • This is what this is.
  • Start to build up a pretty thick line.
  • If you see edges like this, don't worry about it too much.
  • Just blend them out Using a MAC pencil brush.
  • This is a 219.
  • Don't blend out too much, otherwise you're going to lose the line entirely.
  • Just a little at the edges is fine.
  • Now, she usually does a wing.
  • She'll carry it on under the eye.
  • Get it right into that corner there.
  • And this Corner now.
  • And bring the eyeliner down to meet it.
  • Then we're going to line the waterline.
  • Don't worry, this will look better once I'm finished.
  • That looks pretty scary because it's quite harsh looking, so we're just going to blend in quite randomly to make something a bit messier.
  • And everything looks a little bit weird until you put mascara on.
  • So pop some mascara on at this kind of stage and you can always adjust the shape later.
  • We want to layer up this mascara a lot.
  • I'm using L'Oreal's Volume Million lashes.
  • They're meant to be messy.
  • They really don't have to be neat, but they still look good.
  • The final thing I'm going to use on the eyes is a navy sparkly blue eyeshadow.
  • She often has some blue in her eye makeup, mainly because she's got beautiful green eyes.
  • Green eyes?
  • Blue eyes, sorry.
  • And I'm just going to pop that over the top of the gel that I did underneath just To add a little bit of iridescence to the look.
  • And often when she does have tears running down or whatever, when she's got this dark makeup on, it tends to be a little bit blue-tinted.
  • So it's even possible that she uses a very dark navy.
  • So you can always do that.
  • You can switch it up a little bit if you want.
  • Next I'm going to just...
  • Hi, guys.
  • Sorry, my camera cut out, and I'm not entirely sure why because it wasn't even at its limit.
  • But anyway, I'll quickly show you what I did after that final bit.
  • I used Gosh's long-lasting brow pen in...
  • I'm not sure what shade this is.
  • Wheat.
  • In Wheat.
  • On my eyebrows, obviously, just to fill them in a little bit.
  • Not too heavily, just a little.
  • I used MAC's lipstick in Crème de Nude, and this is a cream sheen.
  • And it looks like this, and that's what I've got on my lips at the moment.
  • And then finally I did a little bit of a rosy glow with Bourjois' Rose D'or.
  • Just really light dusting over the cheeks.
  • She doesn't often wear blusher, but when she does, it's rosy.
  • And that was pretty much all I did, I think.
  • So that was how I got this final look.
  • I hope you enjoyed, and I'll see you all very soon, guys.
  • Bye.
